This event was coordinated statewide by the Rural Organizing Project (rop.org). Occupy Corvallis and other groups met at the Corvallis, Oregon Post Office to offer information handouts and gather petition signatures on the rural post office closure issue. At stake are 40 rural offices in Oregon alone as well as mail processing plants. The effects will be felt in mail delivery delays by all Oregonians and throughout the country if the problem, caused by Congress, is not remedied.
